Sporting Equals is a national charity and a not for profit organisation. Our mission is to make a sustainable difference to the inclusion of all under-represented communities in sport and physical activity, so as to improve the long-term opportunities and health outcomes of those communities. We are the national partner of Sport England and advisors to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. We have a network of over 5000 organisations and have strong links with NHS agencies and other organisations addressing health inequalities.
It's great to see the work that Sporting Equals are doing in promoting disadvantaged communities with sport and physical activity. Sport has been such a great thing for me in my life, so I know that encouraging young kids in these different disadvantaged communities it really does help.
Sporting Equals aims to increase participation in sport in a wide variety of communities
Growing the visibility of sport in communities that we support through business networking.
Finding new talent amongst young communities is important for the future of sport and growing it
Sporting Equals looks to improve the health and lifestyle of all generations in sport and fitness.
Sporting Equals founded the BEDSAs to recognise and celebrate talent in BME communities . The BEDSAs help to inspire the next generation as well as acknowledging the achievements already made by BME communities in sport from elite athletes, coaches to volunteers and local clubs.
